For this edition of our Rap Season Mixtape, we had Terrence Ross from the Toronto Raptors compile his Top 10 pre game warm-up tracks. Check out his list below and find out why each single made the list. Blast the volume and vibe to this March Madness mixtape.
Future “March Madness”
Song is aptly titled and would probably make it into any playlist I had for any reason, because it just goes so hard.
DJ Carnage ft. Lil Uzi Vert, A$AP Ferg & Rich The Kid “WDYW”
I’ve been on Ferg, I don’t think he gets enough credit, he’s dope. And Uzi is a newer artist that gets after it too, has good bass and puts you in game mode. I think they sampled a couple old Ferg tracks to make it too which is dope.
Madeintyo “Uber Everywhere”
I feel like everyone is playing this dude Madeintyo, definitely a song that makes you swag out and do that half cooking half dabbing dance that is becoming so popular, definitely will get you moving.
French Montana ft. Chris Brown & Migos “Moses”
Just another solid track with CB, another song that would probably make any playlist of mine.
Chief Keef “Earned It”
What is a pre game playlist without some Keef to get you slapping the locker room walls and acting a damn fool before you head out to the court? Well I might not go crazy to this song every time I play it, I’m just saying it makes me want to.
Kendrick Lamar “Untitled 07”
Kendrick is one of the greatest and his latest album is some heat, even if we don’t know the name of any of the songs technically, another track that will get you in the zone
Shy Glizzy ft. Bobby Shmurda “Celebration”
Nobody talks about Glizzy, he goes in and free my guy Shmurda, another slapping beat that will get you right before tipoff
Drake “Summer Sixteen”
This is here because I’m looking for revenge every time I step on the court, simple.
Mac Miller ft. Kendrick Lamar “Fight The Feeling”
This song just reminds me to be thankful, which is always good before I get into game mode.
A$AP Rocky ft. SchoolBoy Q “Brand New Guy”
Because it’s been 5 years and I’m not sure if anyone has made a beat as dope as this one, definitely a track that will get you ready to take over at any moment
