Throw on your headphones and get ready for hardcore nostalgia. Polygraph.co and Billboard partnered together to create an audio timeline of the most popular tracks in Hip-Hop since 1989 using Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart data.

The chart begins with the old-school sounds of Big Daddy Kane, MC Lyte, Notorious B.I.G, 2-pac, Cypress Hill, Black Sheep, Onyx, Ice Cube, Eric B. and Rakim, EPMB which then progresses towards the sounds of Dem Franchize Boyz, Chingy, Terror Squad, Lil Bow Wow, Cam’Ron, Kanye West, and develops into the ‘Hip-Hop’ sounds of 2015.
